Cyber Liability insurance is a standalone coverage that can help your organization recover after a major data loss due to a security breach, ransomware, or other cyber incident.
As social media plays an increased role in connecting organizations and their followers, new avenues are created for libel, slander and other forms of disparagement. Growing concerns even among websites and blogs include the unauthorized use of photos, copyright Infringement and prayer lists.
Cybercrime is growing rapidly and experts are beginning to warn that smaller organizations, including churches and similar groups, increasingly fall victim to cybercrimes and other online challenges and these exposures are generally not covered under most general liability policies or at best, limited.
Commercial Flood Insurance
Just because you haven’t experienced a flood in the past, doesn’t mean you won’t in the future. Flood risk isn’t just based on history, it’s also
based on a number of factors such as: rainfall, river-flow and tidal-surge data, topography, flood-control measures, and changes due to building and development. New development miles upstream can create flooding in your area.
Costs vary depending on how much insurance is purchased, what it covers, and the property’s flood risk. If you are in a low-risk flood area, you may be eligible for the National Flood Insurance Programs “Preferred Risk” rates. Coverage starts at $50,000 on the building and $50,000 on contents for less than $1,000 annually.
There may also be an alternative to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) offered by private insurance carriers. These offer replacement cost coverage and in some instances, some measure of loss of income. Typically priced higher than the NFIP, they are an alternative for those looking for a little broader coverage.
International Travel Insurance
If your organization sponsors international trips, you know that there are a variety of risks associated with world travel. Some risks are greater than others and will vary based on the destination country, the number and age of travelers, and the types of activities they will be participating in. To offset those risks, you will want to make sure you have some type of foreign general liability plan in place to protect your organization.
Most Foreign Travel policies provide similar accident/medical coverage but few provide Foreign General Liability. Your existing liability plan may not cover you for legal expenses and lawsuits brought in overseas courts.
If you have a mid-week PreK, Daycare or similar program at your church or if you operate a School, you need to consider a Student Accident medical Insurance policy.
This coverage covers the cost of medical treatment for a covered accident and can be written on a primary or excess basis (coordinates with existing health coverage).
Counseling Center Ministries
Our broad range of coverages are tailored to meet the unique needs of counseling ministries and include the professional liability so vital to protect not only the counselors individually but also the organization. The coverage forms are designed to include coverage for not only the staff, but also the wide range of volunteers associated with these non-profit ministries.
Business Life Insurance
One of the more common types of Business Life Insurance is Key Person life insurance which is a policy that provides the capital needed for loan protection or to offset the loss of membership, attendance or even giving should your key person suddenly pass away. The organization is the policy owner, beneficiary and premium payer of the key person policy.
The amount of coverage needed when applying for key person life insurance can be calculated in a number of ways (the cost of replacing the key person, the anticipated loss or revenue, etc.) but the most a life insurance company will typically allow is 10 to 15 times a key person’s total compensation. It’s estimated that it can take an organization 2 years or more to financially recover from the loss of a key individual in your organization.
